Volcano Bay

Themed Water Park at Universal Orlando

The rides in this park are:

At Volcano Bay you can use your TapuTapu —a waterproof wearable specifically designed for the park—to hold your place in the Virtual Line for one attraction at a time.

Honu ika Moana

This is a thrilling multi person raft ride, with twists and turns. Speed through an open flume on Honu then fly up a wall while Ika Moana is a raft ride twists and turns, going over bubbling jets that sprays water on the riders from the centre of the raft.

Ko’okiri Body Plunge

This is a thrill ride on a high speed slide featuring a 70-degree fall through a drop door sliding through the Krakatau volcano itself on 125 feet of white-knuckle fun. You pass through a water feature at the bottom of the volcano.

Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides

This thrilling but not for the faint hearted ride is a multi-person rafting ride that goes through lava tube paths. Maku goes through a deep gorge then spins you around wildly being shot with water. Puihi takes you through a dark winding tunnel with a zero-gravity hang time before being shot into a twisting flume and landing in a pool at the bottom.

Punga Racers

Punga Racers is a family fun ride where 4 people can compete at once. Riders are on a high speed slide on manta ray mats shooting down lanes through underwater sea caves through sudden twists and turns some through dark areas. The first racer to cross the finish line receives a watery commendation.

Runamukka Reef

This is a children’s water area with water guns, bubbling geysers, slides and dump cups surrounded by bamboo sea creatures.

Kopiko Wai Winding River

This is a slow lazy river ride that passes through the Kraratau volcano. It has sprays of water surprise along the way.

Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides

This is a high speed free-fall slide through a trap door that sends you twisting and turning through a tunnel before dropping into calm waters below.

Krakatau Aqua Coaster

This 4 person canoe ride offers sends you up and down countless hills, straight into the core of the volcano going around dark twists and turns before emerging with a plunge through a shimmering waterfall.

Waturi Beach

Here you can swim in the warm waters or relax while watching the amazing view of Krakatau. It is made as a lagoon where there is a beach and you can rent seating and cabanas. 

Typhoon Lagoon

Bay Slides

These 2 beginners’ waterslides are for children under 5 feet tall. They have gentle slopes and feed into a shallow secluded bit of Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.

Castaway Creek

This is a lazy river ride where you’re sat in an inner tube and you drift along the 2,000-foot long route that takes you all around Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.

Crush 'n' Gusher

This is a water coaster where you can choose from 3 slides "Banana Blaster", "Coconut Crusher", or "Pineapple Plunger". Ride on an inflatable raft through tunnels uphill and downhill twisting and curving before plunging the "Hideaway Bay" pool.

Gangplank Falls

This is a 4 person water raft ride in an inner tube where you will get wet swooshing through rocky caverns, under bridges and waterfalls.

Humunga Kowabunga

This is a 3 slide high speed waterslide where you drop vertically nearly 5 stories reaching up to 30 miles an hour in the dark before dropping to a splashy ending.

Keelhaul Falls

This is family white-water ride in an oversized inner tube sailing a course with boulders where you career through caverns and a waterfall, sometimes being spun round and round going from one pool to the next via short drops and slides coming to a big splash at the bottom.

Ketchakiddee Creek

This a little children’s (under 4ft tall) water play area with a mini inner-tube rapids ride, side-by-side mini slides, crawl chutes, animal-shaped fountains and a cave with a waterfall. There are water cannons and a small sandy beach.

Mayday Falls

This is a single person tube ride where you career down the mountain through rushing rapids swerving through caves and past thundering waterfalls.

Storm Slides

There are 3 body slides Jib Jammer, Stern Burner, and Rudder Buster that zip you downhill 3 stories down twisting winding channels to a waterfall splash at the bottom.

Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool

Wave pool, which has 6 foot high waves every 90 seconds

Blizzard Beach

Teamboat Springs

This is a white-water raft ride  accommodating 4- 6 guests in an inner tube down the mountain where you are propelled through 1,200 feet of twists and turns through splashes and sprays.

Runoff Rapids

This is an inner tube ride with 3 completely different flumes to choose from, sliding down 600 feet down the mountain before ending with a splash. The middle ride is enclosed and is for single riders whilst the slides to either side of it can take 2 on a tube.

Downhill Double Dipper

This is an inner tube ride in total darkness going at speeds up to 25 miles per hour down 50 foot high and 230 foot long slopes before finishing with a splashdown. Race against your friends on the parallel slopes with time clocks.

Snow Stormers

This is a single person ride on a foam toboggan mat on flumes of 350 foot long before splashing into the pool ate bottom.

Summit Plummet

This ride is for thrill seekers where you plunge 12 stories on a fast free fall body slide from a vertical drop gathering speeds of up to 55 miles an hour through a darkened tunnel.

Cross Country Creek

A 3,000-foot-long lazy river that you can enter at 7 different landings. You can paddle your inner tube or just laze away in the sun being gently pushed by the currant.

This is an 8 lane mat ride. Beat your friends as you speed down in and out of tunnels

down a steep slope and a 360° loop.

Dolphin Plunge

See the dolphin’s race alongside you when you plunge down an enclosed flume and through an underwater pool.

Omaka Rocka

This is a raft ride on high speed flumes that spins you before plunging you into the pool below.

Whanau Way

This is a high speed slide with 4 different flumes giving you a different experience on each. All giving you drops and curves as you speed in and out of darkened tunnels on double inner tubes.

Tassie’s Twisters

When your on of the lazy river Loggerhead Lane find the sign saying Tassie’s Twisters and you will have the spin of your life you’ll twirl your way down a rapid tube slide into a giant bowl where you’ll spin and spin until you splash back into the lazy river.

Loggerhead Lane

This leisurely lazy-river raft ride floats past various Aquatica attractions, including the Commerson's dolphin area and tropical fish aquarium.

Walkabout Waters

This is a children’s interactive water park with a 60 foot play fortress in the centre. It has water cannons, clamber nets and small water slides.

Roa's Rapids

Don a life jacket and float along this fast paced rolling river.

Kata's Kookaburra Cove

A children’ water play area with small water slides and other fun things.

Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores

These are 2 giant side by side wave pools, Big Surf Shores is smooth slow surfing experience whilst Cutback Cove has high waves.

Ray Rush

This is a raft ride on a 3 slide ride that is 60ft tall where you spin in a see through orb then shoot down an open air manta ray shaped open flume.


Build-a Boat: Build and race your own Lego boat.

Build-a Raft River: Design and build a Lego craft then float on the lazy river seeing all the Lego models.

DUPLO Splash Safari: This is a toddler’s splash area with small slides.

Joker Soaker: Interactive splash and play area with wading pool, climbing areas, slides and a drop and splash bucket.

Lego Wave Pool: Wave pool for all ages.

Splash Out: Chose one of the 3 slides and sail to the bottom with a splash.

Twin Chasers: Ride a 2 person inflatable down the open water slide into the wading pool below.

Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove is an animal encounter experience park. You can swim with dolphins, stingrays and see sharks in an underwater tank.  Snorkel through reefs exploring the stunning marine life see the amazing and colourful wild birds. Don a dive helmet and embark on an underwater walking tour of The Grand Reef. There is a heated tropical river where you can take in the sights of the rainforest landscape, beaches and waterfalls.
